Maryam Khodaei

I’m here to support you on your journey toward healing and personal growth.

Welcome

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming—whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, the effects of past experiences, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next. Therapy provides a safe space to slow down, feel heard, gain clarity, and move toward meaningful change. I’m Maryam Khodaeikalaki, LPCC, a licensed psychotherapist since 2011, with extensive experience working with adults, adolescents, couples, and families. I support clients with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, addiction and substance use, relationship and family concerns, grief, self-esteem, parenting and co-parenting, stress, anger, intimate partner violence, and major life transitions. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized, drawing from CBT, DBT, mindfulness, MBCT, EFT, solution-focused therapy, positive psychology, and coaching-based strategies. I believe you already have strengths within you, and therapy can help you reconnect with those strengths, develop practical tools, and create lasting, meaningful change. I am bilingual in English and Farsi/Persian and offer teletherapy to clients in California, Virginia, Oklahoma, and Missouri. My goal is to provide a warm, safe, and judgment- free environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself and work toward a more balanced, fulfilling life.

I am dedicated to helping my clients build a strong, healthy, and peaceful self, no matter what challenges they may be facing. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, or the stress of daily life, I am here to support you with compassion and expertise.

My practice is deeply rooted in the principles of empathy, mindfulness, and collaboration. I understand that every individual’s story is unique, and I am committed to creating a safe, welcoming environment where you can explore your emotions and challenges at your own pace.

In our sessions, I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment. My approach is conversational yet insightful, using everyday language to delve into complex emotional and psychological issues. I encourage you to be curious about your inner world and to embrace the process of change with courage and resilience.

At the heart of my practice is a deep respect for each client’s unique journey. I am here not just as a therapist, but as a compassionate companion on your path to wellness. Together, we will work to uncover your strengths, build new coping skills, and create a life that reflects your true self.

My Background

I earned my degree in Human Relations/Counseling from the University of Oklahoma in 2010, and I have since gained extensive experience in various therapeutic settings. I am licensed to practice in California, Virginia, Oklahoma and Missouri, and I am fluent in both English and Persian/Farsi. My diverse background allows me to connect with clients from different walks of life and provide culturally sensitive care.

In addition to my work as a psychotherapist, I specialize in treating drug and alcohol addiction and hold several certifications that enhance my ability to support clients on their path to recovery.
